Online Appraisal – How It Works

 

Every day, we receive many requests via email, DM, WhatsApp, phone and chat.
Would you like to know the value of your gold, jewellery, or diamond jewellery without leaving home?
At Edelmetaal Richard, you can — safely and easily, with a response within 24 hours (weekdays).

 

We still recommend an in-person appraisal at our boutique in Willebroek, which is always free and most accurate.

 

 

Option 1 — Global Appraisal (Free)

 

If you know the total weight, gold purity (e.g. 18 kt), and total carat weight of diamonds,
we offer a free global appraisal based on these details.

 

Option 2 — Detailed Appraisal per Item (€20/jewellery piece)

 

For an accurate appraisal per item, we require:

 

• The weight (grams)
• The gold purity (e.g. 18 kt)
• The weight of each diamond (ct) is required for an accurate appraisal.
  If possible, please also include the 4 C’s (carat, color, clarity, cut – including cut grade).
  This information is not mandatory but helps us provide a more precise valuation.

 

Without this data, an online valuation isn’t possible, and we kindly invite you to visit our boutique.

 

 

Payment and Processing

 

Fee: €20 per jewellery piece, payable in advance by bank transfer:

Once payment is received, you’ll get a reply within 24 hours (Mon–Fri before 17:00).
Requests after Friday 17:00 are processed from Monday afternoon.

 

 

Important

 

Our appraisals are non-binding and serve only as indicative value.
The price depends on the daily market rate of gold and gemstones, which fluctuates constantly.
We only indicate the amount we would pay if you sold to us.
We do not provide replacement or retail price appraisals.
